Judging Results |
old orange peel, sl OTT oak very old skool, eating oak on back palate
Savoury, leathery and lacking fresh fruit appeal. Some cola. Mid body
Blueberry, cassis pastille, lots of vanillin toasted oak, very sweet fruit, simple profile, wet hay
nought and turkish delight nose, lifted, floral
similar on palate, hint of orange peel?? and chocolate, chunky tannin
A rustic take on the variety. Unfortunately soured fruit and a distinctive barnyard character overshadow the wine.
