Judging Results
Medal / Award Gold
Judge 1 brihgt, strawberry compote and simple red fruits , nicely structured, little warming
Judge 2 Incredibly aromatic nose - this leaps with raspberry, cassis, and an inescapable creamy texture on the palate. This is a pleasure. The tannns have a bitter edge which provides a foil to the plush fruit - maybe these will resolve with some time - it is very young!
Judge 3 nice, dense, gravel and graphite, great structure, power and intensity, dark brooding fruits, looking very varietal. . . and regional
Associate Judge Attractive colour. beautiful juicy fruit profile with nice spice and toast notes from the oak. well balanced rich and full bodied without being to much overpowering.
Associate Judge Red/purple. Lifted ripe red and black berries, plum.
Dense and generous, integrated oak, vanilla, dark dark fruits. Long. A bit broad for a gold.
