Judging Results
Medal / AwardGold
Judge 1brihgt, strawberry compote and simple red fruits , nicely structured, little warming
Judge 2Incredibly aromatic nose - this leaps with raspberry, cassis, and an inescapable creamy texture on the palate. This is a pleasure. The tannns have a bitter edge which provides a foil to the plush fruit - maybe these will resolve with some time - it is very young!
Judge 3nice, dense, gravel and graphite, great structure, power and intensity, dark brooding fruits, looking very varietal. . . and regional
Associate JudgeAttractive colour. beautiful juicy fruit profile with nice spice and toast notes from the oak. well balanced rich and full bodied without being to much overpowering.
Associate JudgeRed/purple. Lifted ripe red and black berries, plum. Dense and generous, integrated oak, vanilla, dark dark fruits. Long. A bit broad for a gold.
