dark brooding, warm spice filled nose, fine tannins , oak slightly distracting
This is very good - texturally complex, layered flavours and spices, really classy wine - plenty to commend. Sophisticated and kind of rustic too, both things add considerably to its charm
pithy, leather, gamey spice, solid. sherbert, fine boned, lovely energy to the palate.
mulberry notes. the oak seems a bit not well integrated. tannins quite chalky.
xmas cake, cedary oak, raisins. Big juicy palate with plenty of oak. Currants and dark fruit galore but oak stands out too much for gold
