Judging Results
Medal / Award Bronze
Judge 1 mod bright, little dusty and closed on the nose, fine grained tannins lasck some drive ok
Judge 2 solid, a little nettle and choco, lots of structural tannin and spice, solid.
Judge 3 Black jubes and pastille - a juicy ribena core on the palate. The tannins and structure carry the sweet fruit well. This is powerful and satisfying. Perhaps a touch simple on the spice spectrum, but plenty to think about here.
Associate Judge ripe plums, purple flowers, milk chocolate, a bit warm on the palate and the tannin isn't quite intergrated
Associate Judge lifted, skinsy, apricot skins, good weight, some white pepper, hint savoury, nice depth, good complexity, ok wine. Maybe a tad too hot.
