Medal / Award C
Judge 1 nice bright colour, reductive but spicey and savoury length, maybe suggestions of shaded fruits but long and nice
Judge 2 great colour, blue and green fruits, violet spice lift, meaty savoury charchuterie profile, powdery / peaty tannins, solid.
Judge 3 Geranium, nettle, Indian Hawthorn, blackcurrant, blackberry, salted liquorice. Lovely intensity on the palate - probably doesnt have the refreshing swoosh of acidity that would help clear up the prolific tannins, but a lovely drink nonetheless. Deep, dark, black, aromatic.
Associate Judge funky nose, leafy, cut capsicum, graphite, powdery tannin,
Associate Judge e\xcellent vibrancy, lifted, raspberry, sasparilla, green blackberries, wine is sound yet bordering on slightly green fruit, some nice characters, good handling of fruit, not over extracted.
