Another box hedgey number, a bit diffuse. Menthol too. Some pretty vanilla red fruit things though. Has some slightly stewed tobacco flavours in the mouth, but it sort of words. Just a bit dried. But is sapid and toothsome and the tannins yield.
cherry, stalk notes, black fruits, floral, firm fine grainy tannins, building mid-palate, good fruit presence on palate, warmth, supple acid backbone, peppery spice on length.
captivating aromas. roasted, charred and a little bit of herbaceous green for freshness. the nose is a great introduction.
the palate follows through with surety. this is a quarterback wine. very well put together. strong and straight. maybe just lacks a bit of charm?
Slightly closed nose but nice dusty chocolate box with plummy fruit. Some nice earthy elements but just a touch dry
