Pie crust peel. And in the mouth also, just a bit hollow compared with the best in the line-up. That said it has some personality, and crunchy crust tannins. Toothsome.
subdued, stalky notes at front, cherry, firm puckery tannins on entry, alc. warmth, VA lift on palate, sour note to finish.
restrained fruit, a touch volatile, still very attractive - some aged balsamic notes - looks good but in a non protective way
palate is explosive - blueberry, kirsch, lavender oil, milk chocolate, supple tannins, some meatiness, light smoked notes. heaps of fun!
Lifted dense and dark fruit ripe style. Plush ripe plums good palate weight bit of alcohol there but fits in bigger style with plenty of tannin offering good savoury cruchiness
