Oak is a bit cruddy. Deep fruit however. Dates and fig and things. Just lacks a brightness. Fruit is certainly there. It's the wood distraction for me.
oak dominant on nose, good bright plum fruit behind, ripe, lifted (VA?), supple tannins, fleshy palate, warmth, generous.
dark broody plummy and spice driven. some porty, fortified notes are a sublte detractor
quite smoky chary oak but blackberry fruit still present bigger style with some constuction on palate ... oak just seems a bit too dominant
