Quite oaky this: decent oaky though, sourdough crust. Some peel. A bit clovey in the mouth. Red sharp sumac. Just rather skinny.
charry toasty oak upfront dominates fruit, cherry and blackcurrents underneath, palate has depth and density, warmth, alcohol hot, touch unbalanced firm chalky tannins, oak pervades throughout dominating fruit
could be Spanish. well woven new oak features but softens with the senses. loads of cinnamon, cardamom, clove, vanilla but the fruit is still dominant and very well managed. traditional. On the palate a little more difficult to see past the wood - still fruit dominant but oak treatment seems to drag the perfume a little. Love to see this next year.
Hazelnut dusty vanilla bean oak dominant. Oaky on the palate dry and lacking fresh fruit. A bit soapy hard on the finish
